more Mantras – Mala run in Helsinki

Dec 06 - 06, 2011 in Helsingin Timanttipolku-Buddhalainen Keskus Liisankatu 16 A 8 00170 HELSINKI FINLAND

It all began as an idea to have a meditation day on the independence day here in Finland with slogan: ‘Finland is already liberated, are you? If not, come and mediate with us (and maybe even reach enlightenment)’.

More meditation is of course always enjoyable, but what if we on top of meditation promoted this day to the EC support day? …and the idea of Mala run was born. It is, as the name suggests very similar to Kagyu run, though there is not sportsmen sponsored, but meditating yogis. Even better, this is easy to organize in nation wide scale, since what is simpler than to subscribe as a sponsor or meditator (or both) and enjoy the process and the result! With separate rates for ngondro mala and karmapa cheno mala we set ourselves free for the Finnish independence day and thus contributed to the noble aim of helping with the development of Diamond Way Buddhism in the West and ourselves (on the way to liberation and enlightenment).
